Looks good! Careful of that ladder leading to your gravity tank....doesnt look so trustworthy during slippery sap season.

Love the look of board and battens, what width did you end cutting the boards and battens??
What is the size of the sugarhouse? Do you have any more pics?
You did do a great job.

The boards are 12" and the batten strips are 2.5" and the sugarhouse is 12'x18' and yes I have more pics.

i am a little worried about the strength of your sap tank support platform, looks to be a 150 or 200 gallon stainless tank, 200 gallons on sap is around 1600lbs plus weight of the tank, thats alot sitting on that platform the way its made

That's an awesome shack. Love the wood-mizer. You did a great job
I agree with markct. That platform stands needs additional members I think? The 4 legs look like rough sawn 2x8's? That's a lot of weight sitting on those. Also, the horizontal rough sawn 2x4's you have should be laid on edge, not flat. When that tank is full those could snap, or buckle enough to make the whole thing unstable. I'd hate to see you lose that tank and its contents.
Again, great job on the shack. You did an awesome job!

Rubydog,
I agree that is a awesome looking sugar house! I like the rough cut look to.
Also agree that the tank support may need additional review. Lots of weight there. We just want you and your equipment to be safe. Lots of good suggestions on here.
Regards,
Chris
