View Full Version : Any Western Mass Sugarmakers need wood?

Because of the OctSNOWber storm, I'm sure that most people in Southern New England have plenty of green firewood, but I'm throwing this out there anyway.

I've got about 3 cords of maple and ash (I think) that I'm not going to use. It was donated by my neighbor and it's cut into some 12", mostly 16" and some 24" lengths, but not yet split. I'm working on splitting it now. I'll be keeping some of it for fireplaces, and such.

I cannot deliver it, but if anyone wants to stop by and pick up some wood (and perhaps trade some syrup, buckets and taps, candy molds, or anything else useful), I'm more than happy to help out another sugarmaker.

I may be moving in the spring, and I don't want to take it with me. I'm in no hurry to get rid of it yet, but I thought I'd offer some to sugarmakers very, very, very cheap - before the snow falls.

I'm located about 1/2 mile from Route 91 near the CT border. The wood is stacked next to my garage, so you can drive right up to it. Send me a PM if interested.
