Why are maple syrup pans tig welded. why not mig? what is the significance of TIG over MIG?

TIG is stronger, TIG welds can be done with or with out filler metals, TIG has no spatter... MIG welds are weaker, there is spatter, and they oxidize...
Hope this helps!!!!

im not a welder by any means well ok use to a little, you can mig stainless but supposed to have a special gas mix for it, tig welding is more precise and controllable turn out some really nice welds.

The thin 20-22 gauge stainless is hard to weld without the precise control you have with a tig.
