Does any one ever put just a few tap on the dry line of a wet/dry line or do you always put another manifold and main line from the wet/dry for the couple taps? We have places in our woods that we were debating on putting about 5 to 15 taps on the dry line, for that many taps I don't think it is worth the money to put an extra main in coming off of the w/d, But at the same time I don't want to defeat the purpose of the wet/dry because I want maximum vac to each tap.
What's your thoughts?
Thanks, Sam

I have done this in the past, and now I really regret it. I would put in another manifold and a short main for it.

Never did. I asked Glen Goodrich of Goodrich Maple Farm and Steven Childs, Cornell Maple Specialist, both said not to do it, so I didn't.
When I wash I do not pressurize my dry line so this will not work. I just run water thru the dry line with the end uncapped so I do not put much pressure on the gauges.

They call it a dry line for a reason. If you start putting sap in there I feel you are asking for trouble. If nothing more than keeping bacteria down.... We have dry lines with boosters all over the woods. They work when I need them...all dry. If I were you I would just put another manifold in and have no worries.
