Trying to decide what size mainline would be appropriate for my set up. I will have roughly 75 taps, that will feed into the mainline through 4 different sap lines.
There is not a ton trees available for future expansion, I could probably get up to 100 taps, but not a whole lot more than that.
Outside of sizing guidelines for mainline, be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on doing a vacuum system. Lastly, are there any good book resources on these subjects that capture all the knowledge on the forum in a single place.
Thanks for all your help
Michael

You could easily use 1/2" but I would use 3/4 just because there are better choices of fittings to connect the laterals to it. 1/2" reguires you to cut the main and insert a tee of some type while you can just make a hole and connect 1 or 2 lats on 3/4. That may not sound bad but fewer little ridges inside for sap to be held back is the best because each little hold back is a place for micro organisms to grow and multiply.
