Gents and ladies,
I'm going through the contents of a sugarhouse I purchased, one thing I'm not sure I'll keep or not is a big plastic tank.
I believe it is 1000 gallons, it has a cone bottom, removable top, metal base, many fittings, and what I think is a level sensor.
I've googled around to try and find comparable items to try and get a sense of its value with only limited success.
Does anyone have a similar tank that they can compare it to a give me an idea of it's value?
Thanks in advance,

check out http://www.tank-depot.com/browse.aspx?id=49

need to price out tank and stand separately. Hard to tell, but at first glance that doesn't look like 1000 gals...but hard to tell

What are the dimensions of the tank?

I also agree. If you see no markings, measure the inside volume as best you can. 1 cubic foot = just under 7.5 gal (7.48.........) To get volume measure inside diameter in feet and height of uniform diameter in feet. Do the math. D/2= R. 3.14 x r x r = the area. That answer x the ht in feet = CF. Then add a cone volume for the cone bottom (3.14 x r x r x H /3). All measurements must be in feet. Add the 2 and multiply by 7.4805. This will get you real close. A 1000 gal tank will give you over 133 cubic feet of volume.

Thanks for the replies.
With respect to separating the tank from the base, since it is a cone bottom tank and won't stand without the base, I think they'll stay a set.

I'll measure the tank next chance I get. It may look smaller in the photo because the picture is taken at an elevation above the base of the tank, looking down on it somewhat. If the pic were taken from the same elevation as the base, it would look lots bigger.

Thanks again.

Yes The stand and tank stay together....when you look at the value, you need to price both a stand and a tank....

Thanks again for the replies. I found the paper work for this tank amongst stuff in the sugarhouse I bought. It is a Terracon tank, and measures approx 6' in diameter and 6' tall. The spec sheet tells me the I.D. x depth is 66" x 72" and is a 1000 gal tank. The spec. sheet indicates the original tank price was $1732.50. Not sure if the base was included in this price or not.

Anyhoo, I now have a sense of the value of this tank and appreciate all the replies to my original query.
