Tapped on 2/23, Nice day to be in the woods. Sap was flowing but not enough to gather before the cold front moved through. Used my brand new tapping bit that I paid $20. Well worth the money, nice clean round borings, no leaking taps. Looks like the cold will be with us for the next week. No problem, the season will start soon. Just have to be patient. Like they say: “Can’t wait to the season gets here, can’t wait to see it leave”
