So I would like to offer a holiday gift basket this year. I would like to have all the maple stuff (syrup, candy , cream) plus some type of pancake mix and maybe a jam or jelly to go with it. Now for NH there is no sales tax so they don't have a resale certificate. So can I just buy some type of nice small pancake mix whole sale if I can find one and add it into my basket? What do others do in this case. Can you recommend a company besides stonewall kitchen (min order $500 for whole sale orders according to web site) that sells unique stuff like that wholesale without such a big min $$$ per order.
any help would be great.
hi brad, have you tried looking for a small local mill to see if they will bag some with "willow creek sugarhouse pancake blend" ? dave ramsey reccomends a book called "gurilla marketing". it uses thinking outside the box tecniques for marketing, bartering and such. besides, i don't think it's wrong to use small bag of mix as long as you don't re-bag it yourself but even a large mill may cut a deal with you because it's free advertising for them. good luck...nace

What about making your own and using mason jars.

Can I do that? Josh I did look into a homestead kitchen license. Its a little invovled but do-able. Have to get my water checked agian, maybe retake the kitchen sanitation certification. $50 for the actual liciense and you need to have some checked for bacteria and stuff I do belive I have to pay for that. I think I am gonna do it. this way there is no question I can make what ever and sell it!!! including fudge!!! which is a catagory of items you need to have the license.
