No stink bugs here, but plenty of box elder beetles!

I can not even hang my hunting clothes outside because they get infested with stink bugs. i like them to air out so they are scent neutral and the deer dont smell them but i cant even do that. There are hundreds in them every time i go hunting.

yeah we gottem here too. We just like to hang clothes outside to dry on nice days instead of using the Dryer. can't do it. they are clinging to the windows all over the house. There were dead ones all over the place the other day when we got a freeze!!! just waiting for the lady bugs. not too bad yet!!!

When I find the little bastards in the house I apply a drop or two of nitro gun powder solvent. They're dead in 1-2 minutes, no stink and the smell of powder solvent isn't all bad.
We had them and the lady bugs last fall. We went on line and bought a product called Suspend and it works very well. It is about $40.00 for a bottle and you mix one ounce to a gallon of water. I bought a cheap sprayer and I just spray the house on the outside and inside around the windows. One bottle will last you many years because you only spray once a year.

Stink bugs are breath through pore in there exoskelaton (sp?) so all you need is a little water with some dish soap (not sure how much it doesn't take much) then put it in a spray bottle and give them a little spray its enough to clog up thei pores and they suffocate their wings curl up they flip over and die. cost is pennies and well the cost of a spray bottle.

Thanks for the information about Stink Bugs. They seem attracted to my Black Elderberries. Never much of a problem - till I start picking Black Elderberries and cleaning them and there they are. Was never quite sure how to deal with them and not get the wonderful smell on my fingers. Not cool - when cleaning a food item - again thanks. ----Mike----
