Tapped too early?

I tappped down here in southern Ct at the end of January. I thought I could get some runs in but they froze up solid. Now it has been nearly a month and things are slow. Any advice? Can I rebore existing taps come March?

If it has been very cold, it won't hurt the holes very much. It is warm weather that hurts everything and redrilling does very little good and not worth the time and effort usually. :?
