hey got a question, friend of mine has a river through his property that got flooded in Irene, there's a lot of "river wood" it been wet a long time think it could be dried out by suagring;););)

Yeah if you can get it cut by sugaring. I remember in the flood of 1976 the New Haven River was full of trees and I won the contract to clean it out. I under bid everyone because I was going to make killing on selling the fire wood and logs. After going thru 2 chains the first day and having to sharpen the saw every 2 cuts, I found out that I had made a serious mistake. The silt actually penetrates the wood, it is not just on the surface. You will have better luck cutting a roll of sandpaper is what I found out.

You might be able to cut them if you got a carbibe saw chain. The say they work great in dirty wood but I think they cut slower. I think Baileys online has them.

I think it should burn just fine its not like its been there 10 or 15 years or so, then i would have to say it would be pretty wet. just my 2 cents
