Getting ready to run another test my new rig. The first went very well but my water has a high calcium content and I was left with a calcium deposit in the bottom of my pans. What can I add to my water before I boil again? Thanks...

Not sure if you could add anything before you boiled, unless you have a water softener and got your water throught that. I would just clean it with milkstone remover after you finish boiling.

I do have a softener. Will need to run a good length of garden hose from the house but I think I have enough.

Won't help. A water softener doesn't remove ions from the water, it simply substitutes sodium ions for calcium/magnesium ions. You'd need an RO, deionization/demineralization cartridge, or a still (water) to remove the ions. Demineralization cartridge would be the simplest and cheapest....or you can just clean up the evaporator after boiling as already suggested.
