W-9 Tax Form - Any CPA's making sugar?

Any of you fill this out for grocery stores? Only question I have is are we "exempt payee" status, as maple producers?

I believe that relates to YOUR income taxes. Who does your taxes? Ask them. My policy is to check exempt until officially told otherwise. If not exempt they'll withhold a % for taxes and submit them for you. I doubt you are talking enough volume to need income tax withholding. If you think the volume will be high enough to generate much tax liability you can indicate non exempt if you think it wise. My policy is to never give the gov't a nickel before the absolute deadline. If you do they will just waste it that much sooner.
