Exporting from USA to Europe, Asia, South America

Does anyone here have any significant experience exporting syrup (or candy, or cream) from the USA to a country outside of North America? I'm wondering if there is a market. If we made a significant marketing campaign, perhaps it could help push of the USA's export numbers!:lol:

Some of my syrup went to China a few years ago, but it was hardy enough to alter the country's export figures! I don't know where you would begin to try and get something like that going. Do you have any family or friends living in a foreign country? That might be a start?
