where are you located? are you looking for black waterline or the real maple stuff?
I am 25 miles from Saint Albans, Vermont. I am looking for all black mainline for my high vac system. I need 1 1/4 and some 1 1/2 inch. Just wondering who has the best deal going. Thanks.

Mike,
I just called FW Webb in Saint Albans and you were so right. Their price is half of what the Maple suppliers are. Is this the same as maple main line? Is it food grade and good for high vac? Thank you so much.

I know that Webb has started carrying a gray main line --- made by the same company that makes black. Make sure it's 100 psi.

Webb's stuff should be food grade. Should have an NSF stamp on it. Some of the landscape places carry non-NSF pipe. So you just need to ask.

When I bought 1 1/4 and 3/4 Webbs could not come close to Goodrich's. I know construcion guys around here that buy from Glenn.

I called Webb and they said their mainline is all 100 psi. Is it safe to say this will be good with high vac? Thanks.

FW Webb quoted me $174 for 500' of 3/4" mainline. Does this sound right? I had heard they were cheaper than other suppliers.

Sounds a bit high to me. I bought black 3/4 crestline 100PSI for $145 for 1000 foot rolls in June. Price should not be up that much.
Did you tell them it was for your sugaring operation? They sell two different kinds of pipe. Last i checked at Webbs in Saint Albans 1 inch was $220.00 per 1000 foot. I think the 3/4 inch was around $150.00 per 1000 feet.

Crap. Forgot to mention it was blue, not black. And yes, I did tell them it was for sugaring. I'm sure black is a lot cheaper - most of my mainline will be in direct sunlight. That was my only reason for going with blue instead.

webbs in brattleboro, rutland, springfield and bennington are stocking lappiere fittings (taps, tees, saddles, wire, everything to get the sap to the sugarhouse) the price on black main line is very good and its food grade.

I am not sure if it is a joke, but many people call Franklin County, Vermont (Maple Land). There are so many people sugaring here and many operations are 30,000+ taps. All the major sugaring supply stores are very close by. The day i moved here i had a neighbor stop by just to see if he could rent my sugarwoods. I said no because i plan to tap every tree on my property myself. In the week's to follow i had three different people stop by wanting to buy my sap. This truly is Maple Land. The locals here are either talking about sugaring or deer hunting.
