Hey guys, just bought a couple sap sack holders, and bags. gonna try them out next season. also got a sap hydrometer, and a 8 qt. syrup filter, and a liner. Picked up a bucket, around 3 gal., so now I'm going to make a cart that i can wheel over to the evap. when I draw off. Thinking of making a hanger for the Syrup Filter. Any of you guys filter with the filter cones, or do you all have filter presses. Just wondering if you guys have suggestions on filtering.

Use 2 or 3 paper pre filters inside your cone filter. If the top one gets clogged, carefully dump the syrup into the filter below. Your syrup needs to be hot to go through the filter. You can rinse and reuse the pre filters.
