Just got done bottling 4 grades of syrup for the great NYS Fair,I don't usually bottle in glass so I have a few questions. I'm using 12 oz. glass for grade A and a 16.9 oz. gallone bottle for grade B. I bought all the labels for the bottles but none have the oz. specs. I want to meet all NYS Ag& Market requirements like usual, so is this a legitimate worry? It was not an issue at wyoming county fair. Recall a trader in western New York having problems with Ag & Markets bottling in glass maple leafs with no oz. labeled.Should I write the oz. on the label? Any sugestions or coments are appreciated

You must show the volume in both oz. and CC. You might do best to get some small labels and print them on your computer, then just stick them on. Good luck!!!
Realize most retails are somewhat inflated at the state fair. Examine your prices to cover the cost of your being there, unless you will be in the MYSMPA booth, in which case they set the prices and they take a cut.

You can just give them a blank bottle. That's what I have done. All necessary info is on the tag they give you to put on. Now some guys put their labels on, for bragging reasons I suppose, assuming they place well!

Tim, The rules state the glass bottles should be retail ready, should be labeled to meet ag &market requirements. Thanks Jim
