Cleaning pan

Hi I was wondering how to clean the soot and creosote off the bottom of a flat pan without scratching it or damaging it. Thanks for the help.

you got it and take it outside and power wash it wearing a brand new white Tshirt. Now I have a set of fish boil kettles I cook with over a raging wood fire and at the end of the day they are all black and sooted up. I was told to wipe them down with dawn dish soap before I start and they will wash right off with a hose. I use the EZoff on them and they come out with some scrubbing.

I have had good success cleaning my pan with fireplace soot remover available at most fireplace stores.

Thats just a darivation of EZoff but does work well
