I am going to try to run the Massport 500 (220-2hp-19.6 amps) in Hill with a thermostat,,,here is what I have come up with from the Grainger catolog,,,ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APP...as I am not an electrician,,,

Thermostat,,page 3455,,item 4MY93,,range 0-120,,3deg. differintial

Definite purpose motor starter,,page377,,item 4DD96

Thermal unit page 378 item 1H623

Think this will work? dont want to blow anthing up! Thanks

I think I have the same pump as you, all it sys is massport, made in New Zealand, Australia somewhere like that. Any chance you have pictures of it to see if its the same one. It would be great to know the model of it.

My next project is to learn to run my wifes digital camera and post stuff....Mine has MASSPORT 500-T cast in the base,,I tapped 2 trees at work today just to torture myself,, they ran pretty well,,Ill be tapping after this next cold spell......Ill check out the link,,,Thanks
