Pickup Truck Storage Tank

I was wondering if anyone uses the tanks for pickup trucks as a storage tank for their sap? Also where can you get one in CT? Thanks

If using plastic, a horizontal leg tank or upright tank will drain better. The pick up tanks have wings that set on the wheelwells and without support under the wing they sag and don't drain as well. In any case, tilt the tank a little and pump from the low end for best results. Many use plastic tanks for both collection and transport. You just need to be able to clean it well, before first use, during the season and immediately after the season. SS works better, but plastic works OK.
