Stock Tanks?

I was told that the stock tanks I have should not be used sap storage. Any thoughts?
How about old galvanized vs new zinc?

Galvanized will add lead to your syrup... not sure about zinc. Poly or stainless is the way to go.

Behlen Country sells food grade poly round stock tanks. about the cheapest storage per gallon you will find. They are flat bottom so you will want to work out some way to fully drain.
