Just got my sugar shack, but they left the cuppola so rain can ome right in. What would i put to stop the rain. Like some kind of vent or something??? I have no clue.

Not sure I follow You. Did they just leave a hole in the roof where the coupola should go?

no i have a cuppola but the openings around it are wide open and sideways rain can come right in.

OK - Got ya - The pitch in my coupola roof is the same as the shack itself and the coupola roof overhangs its framing by about six inches all the way around. I have 1"x4" attached to the coupola framing at the shack roof line and caulked at the base of the 1"x4" and Shack roof shingles. To keep critters out - the opening has construction screen attached all the way around. I have no problem with rain or snow. I like to let my Shack breathe in the off Season. Most Coupola Designs have side vent doors that can open and close as needed. --- Mike
