I bought a few of these from Andersons. Was going to use them to my mainline to my end trees rather than using a gripple. Are these pretty much the same things.

What Andersons are selling is a Fastlock, they work the same as a Gripple. I haven't tried them yet but have seen them some systems around here.

I am going to try some wire connectors from Kencove. They are making them for 12.5 gauge at .50 per wire. Right now have them on back order. Not sure how they will hold up to high tensil 12.5 gauge. When I get them I will running a trial. I'm going to splice a wire with a gripple and a wire connector and hooking them up to my come-along just to see what breaks first.

Do you need a special tool for them or no. I will be using ratchets on both ends of my mainline. was just looking for something to have on hand if I need it

Ahh if your using ratchets at the trees what in the world do you need a main line wire lock or anything else for that matter?

Just to be prepared in case I need them. Remember, I am a planner by trade.
