base footings tomorow. Just went and ordered the lumber at the sawmill this am;gonna be delivered Friday. Should have it all rough framed out this weekend;gonna tripple the sq footage in our sugarhouse. What are the rest of you folks doing in the other 11 months of the year? syrup is selling quick,need to hide 3-4 gallons for christmas gifts and our own use. gonna be sold out by september 1st

Sounds like you are having fun Mike. Most maple people are jacks of all trades,and keep busy year round.Always some new idea, or something to repair. I am in the process of adding some new taps in my sugar bush(roughly 500), so right now I am laying the system out and running the tubing and mainlines. Been raining almost constantly so I get wet more than I care to,but it is coming along. You will have a lot more space for guests now with your addition,and maybe even get some unexpected help during the season.Keep on plugging away.
