I see that Anderson Maple of Wisconsin has become a sponsor of Kevin Harvick in the Truck Series. Just do a internet search for Anderson Maple and Racing and read all about it.

Yes it is, my brother works for Billy doing all his prototype exhausts. I did all the body work on that car didn't have time to paint it.

Anderson Maple Farms has had their name on more than one Nascar series ride. Goes back a few years. Even seen pictures up for sale on Ebay of some of their sponsored cars. If memory recalls I think they sponsored Andy Lally , Mark Green, Kenny Wallace and now Kevin Harvick, Derrick Cope and Ron Hornaday. Dont think they ever have done a full blown sponsor but a few races at a time.

flatlander, It cost too much! We are talking big money to race. All depends on if you want to be local, regional, national, or international. My parents used to sponser a car the first year they spent around 5k ten years later they were up to 40k and at best could only place an ocassional top five. Racing can be fun but I can think of far better things to invest my money in. Its all in what you want out of it you can make life long friends or life long enemys. only speaking through my experince tore our family apart and still mending the seams. thats my 2cents.

5k to throw a sticker on a car? and then 40k?

yep pretty much and we also turned the wrenches. I will admit it was fun but I'm 99.9% sure thats why I didn't go to college. like I said it all depends on what level of racing you want to be seen in. At the highest level in local comp. the average driver/owner spent around 500- 1000 just to go to one race; we raced three to four times a week. tires 80-150 ea. race fuel then $7 a gal. and entry fees plus you gotta get there fuel for hauler $4 gal. BUt our name was on the best side panel right/rear(open wheel mod.).
