Ken it is one of those decieving use of words to promote a product. I also love when you go to the auto parts store and they have lifetime guaranteed brake pads and rotors and then when they are worn out a year later you take them back and demand a replacement and the guy looks at you and says why they are lifetime guaranteed and thier life is over. It never said a humans lifetime did it lol.

I assume the lifetime spouts they are referring to are their line of SS spouts.

I'm guessing most of my sap bucket spouts are older than me and I've been sugaring since 1968.

Good point I have taps I still use that my grandfather used when he was 20 then my father used and now me. Im guessing they are 90 to 100 years old. I just use them for the sake of remebering my family traditions. The things look almost like new.

I like these kids that tell me all their experience and when I tell them I have shoes older then them they get very silent fast.

Most likely I tend to keep things till it falls apart or gets lost.I have a axe that has been in the family for a long time also.Has had 5 new handles and 2 new heads but still works like new.

I was looking for info on the performance of the spouts ie. do they hold a bucket well? Thaw quickly? Seat well in taphole? etc.
