Delaval Vacuum pump

Recently came across a nice 777 Delaval vaccum pump. It was retired from a dairy this past October. The pump was rebuilt 2 years ago and has a 5 hp motor with it. The owner is willing to sell it but isn't sure what its worth. I've spoke to a number of Dairy equipment dealers and have gotten anywhere from $250 to $1200 for a value. I am thinking between $400 and $450, any sugestions :?:

I gave $350 for a 3 hp two years ago that had been sitting for several years without beeing used. It was in good shape and worked great. I think 4 or 5 hundred would be a good price for a 5 horse. I knoiw I wouldn't go any higher though. Also keep an eye on the dairy auctions. Sometimes you can pick up a good one for a spare fairly cheap.
