I was looking at bill mason's site and he advertises a high out put arch. What makes this different from other arches and is the extra cost worth it? I assume it is more expensive anyway.

I checked out the leader arches last weekend. There is a lot of thought going into these new high effinciency arches. The smallest arch leader makes for this I was told is the 2x8. They make a nice 2x6 Inferno but not a Vortex because the extra room inside is needed for the technology.
My bro inlaw has a 4x12 /W steam away. He does about 300 to 350 GPH. Leader had a 30"X10 or a 3x10 /W steam away Vortex arch and it was doing a consistant 240/260 GPH with soft wood and maxed out to around 350 GPH on Friday with hard wood.
The new style arch willl deffinately be more money but could be worth it.

I spoke to Leader this afternoon and they talked about the smallest vortex they could price out was 2.5 x 10. With a Max flue pan and revolution front pan (but no steam-away) it was close to $20K.
