Nice setup Bruce. Does everything come to that one spot? Is the upper mainline for pumping the sap back to your sugar camp?

Hi Marty, yes everything comes to those two tanks, lowest point in the bush, floods right around there early when the swamp breaks.Flat top tank is 550 gallons, right tank is 300 gallons.Black hose above comes back to the sugarhouse 250 some feet away and probably 20 feet or more higher.Has your season ended, and how do you figure you did?

I'd love to be able to pump sap back to our camp! Unfortunately, the lay of the land doesn't permit it.

We're still going. My brother's boiling today and I'll boil Thursday. We'll have about 0.75 gallons per tap from yesterday and today's runs to push through the RO and evaporator today. After today we should be at 1L syrup per tap.

How about you? Still going?

Hi Marty, pretty poor looking stuff on Sunday, would pile would maybe make another 5 gallons,so I think we'll pack it in for this year, fill the pans with sap and walk away.Finished with 860 liters from 950? taps,so I am quite pleased.Rushed down to Kemptville this morning to hand in the FSTI application, see how it goes from there.

Funny how much difference it makes from your bush to ours - Sunday we made a beautiful medium. We're making amber today and I doubt it'll come back. We could make another 500 gallons with our wood pile if Mother Nature cooperates but by the end of the weekend we may call it quits.
