I was bored last Thursday so decided to make myself a sap hauler out of junk lying around the house

worked really well

then instead of throwing out this 2 drawer file I had , I said lets see what I can do with this !!!, 13.00 dollars later it burns like hell about 4 gallons an hour LOL
took out the top drawer, cut off the front & put a hinge on it so I caN OPEN & CLOSE IT, Cut a piece of grating I had to fit on top of the bottom drawer, which also acts as the ash catcher, cut a hole in the top to fit some of my extra steam pans, put on some heating ducks for the chimney

what you could not turn the pan the other way and get two of them on it?
oh and you can probably "file" this one under a first time its been done.

Now that' being creative. I bet you could market and sell a bunch of these to us small time sappers. 4 gal. an hour sure beats 1 1/2 gal an hour on a turkey fryer. Love it!!

Wood is free for me , propane is expensive
i have my barrel evap this was just to get another boil happening
the neighbors got a hoot out of it though

Funny, my first fish smoker was a old file cabinet. Thats mean you run 2 rigs this week end ?? you will start a big operation soon:lol:

well I only have the one day a week, we live in Montreal, and the cottage is a 120 km north
