Are they worth the higher price?I have been using mostly metal cans but they getting high too.Just thinking more plastic.

All depends on how much you can ahead and how much light the containers get exposed to. Definately the syrup will drop a grade if left exposed in the light for a couple of months. If you package as you need and keep the container in a dark place you will be ok. But if you are looking to display it on a store shelf it would be better to use XL coated jugs.
Also a good habit to get used to is: useing codes of some type. When you put up alot of different containers you can rotate stock so that the oldest is sold first and also if you have a problem with something you can identify the entire batch.

We've been using the sugarhill XL's for years now with no problems at all. I think they're the best overall value for packaging your syrup.
