Peepers and snow

It was a weird but beautiful night in NE Ohio on Wednesday. Three inches of new snow and the peepers were singing in the woods. Wish I could have taken a picture of the steam and the snow covered trees. Its April 1st and snowing. Hope to be boiling later.

Weird here in PA, too. I haven't heard peepers yet but saw a bat the other night darting between the snowflakes. I figure it was either confused by the falling snow or catching snowflakes for water.

Someone on here last year said the peepers have to freeze three times before the season is over. The peepers here have been frozen several nights and I am still getting crystal clear sap on my trees that havn't dried up.
