Hi John. Not my biggest run ever, but the biggest this year! And since last year was a bust, todays run is actually the biggest in two years for me. I hope it continues to run well.

How about 2 days the same week on gravity. So 48 hrs 2 days apart with 300 gallons on the off day with 1100 gallons of sap. 3 day total of 1400 on 300 taps. best that we have ever had here so far. Who knows there may be another.

John- The taps on tubing are between 1030 and 1060 feet. I'll have to find out what the buckets are. They are a few miles away and are quite a bit higher.

My biggest run came from 3/31 thru 4/2. I had to sell 1150 gal sap because I could not keep up. My evaporator was running long shifts every day from 3/30 thru 4/5.
My end production was at 205 gal, plus 28 gal lost from sale of sap (that is what the sugar % would have given). If I had an RO I would have made 233 gal plus. I say plus because my sap got to be up to 5 days old and I know I lost some sugar. Next year I get RO and add at least 500 more taps.
This year's syrup is low because I didn't finish tapping until mid season. The snow slowed me down plenty and I lost my helper from last year just as I was starting to tap. I have tapped in 4-5 days the last 3 seasons but this year it took 3 weeks. I need to be better prepared next year, and need to start tapping earlier. This year I was expanding my taps when I should have been started tapping.
