Pan Width?

I located an arch that measures 3' 6" or 42" wide outside to outside of angle iron frame and 12' long. Being small time only making a few gals a year, I'm not familiar with large evaporators. My question is, would this be for a 40" pan or do they make a 3' 6" or 42" wide pan. Not sure of the make of the arch. There was so much junk piled around it was hard to get to just to measure it.

I'm guessing it is designed for a 40" pan. On my arch, there is about 1" of angle iron exposed on each side of the pan.
