I bought this Surge Alamo 2300 for a steal off of a farmer who had been out of business for a couple of years. I picked it up in the spring and now I am trying to get it togather for season. Does anyone know where I could find out info on this pump online, because he could not find the book for it. It has an 8hp motor on it, and a 3inch inlet to the pump. It is as supposed to have a continiuos oiling system???? Thank you

well Kevin, I am looking for a manual for it but I am having a hard time finding one online. I have eveything hooked up on the pump anyway, still working with the electric. Anyway when i fired it up it worked ok then i went back a couple days later and it was leaking oil from where the top piece of the exhust fits on the bottom. It has a hole on the top of the bottom piece so I was wonding if the oil reciculates?? It does say to drain something everytime oil is added, but what i don't know. So I guess what I am really looking for is a diagram of the oiler?? I'll look sat and see if I can find some numbers. Do you know of any websites where I could find one??

It is just like the regular other Dairy farm pumps that i have seen.
With the oil tank or oiler above the the pump, where the exhust goes up thought it and out the exhust pipes.

Yes, I think so. But i never knew that the used oil was stored in the upper half of the reclaimer.
