My sister in CA sent me this link for Saveur.com.
Saveur.com has a gallery of 14 sugarmakers that they find to be the tops (the link for the maple story doesn't appear to be linked properly)....
It's fun to read (I wasn't sure if they were discussing fine wine or maple syrup).
