hope so it been slooowww for me up to this point had a good saturday but that was about it so far.

Been terrible in the UP. 55 taps-10 gal on Friday, didn't even bother on Saturday and about 7 gallons yesterday. Thinking of tapping the spruce's. Don't have to boil near as long. Bummer with the new pan and stove setup, sounds like you're in the same boat as I am.

Same here. We are between Iron River, Mi and Phelps, WI. 650ish taps and boiled only 600 gallons of sap since the 12th of March. VERY low sugar content too. 1.4%-1.8%!!! The syrup we drew off was very light stuff though. Things can only get better right? WRONG!!! 8-12 inches of snow coming in addition to the 6" we got yesterday. Oh yeah, calling for lows around -8 and not a day above freezing for a week.

I'll be in the shop building pans for the people that have sap.
