Float Valve ideas- Need a simple one to build

Have a 2 X 4 pan, and need to figure out an easier way of dripping sap from my elevated 55 gallon storage tank into the pan. Any suggestions that involve items laying around the garage?

Well if you have a Grainger float valve with copper float that will fit in your evap your all set................BUT only if its sitting in your garage:rolleyes: Please send a picture of your garage and all its contents including a close up of your wife........Please im stuck up in a town of 250 in Wisconsin and they ran out of Cheese and butter a week ago:o

A 3/4" SIMPLEX valve from my plumbing supply store cost me $12 and a chunk of hard maple will float in your pan, as long as you run it deep enough.
