Pump Question

I was wondering if anyone use an inverter with a jet pump to collect sap, I have a 1" homelite gas pump now but looking for another option, i am buying an inverter anyway for my camper, an since neither overlap seasons i can use it for both. I found a teel 1.5 hp 120v that draws 7.5 amps so the 1500 watt inverter i was going to buy should be enough to run. any thought or experiences.

My husband rigged an inverter on his tractor(I got one from Tractor Supply and another through Northern Hydralics. He then hooked them up an runs a small sump pump to emty from our wood sited bulk tank to our trailer mounted sap tank to bring down to the sap house. Hope this helps
