Hi there!
We are located in northern Vermont - it's is our first season, we've got 22 trees tapped and we produced two quarts yesterday. We boiled outside on a evaporator pan but brought in the final gallon to finish it off on the stove inside.
We used two of our normal, thick bottomed saucepans which worked fine, but cleaning them this morning I've noticed they have some tiny white spots all over the inside bottom, like tiny donuts less than half a millimetre big each.
I've cleaned the pan using a mild detergent but not sure what to do or what it could be - any suggestions?
Thanks!
