My wife got some 5 gal plastic syrup bags for bulk storage. Can anyone tell me how these are supposed to be filled? Are they laid on their side? They are much too long to place upright in a 5 gal bucket to fill.

Ive never heard of them. I would put them in a buckets, but if a person has buckets there is no need for bags

you could build a frame to hold them....

My friend uses the bags, he fill direct from the filter press, puts them in a pail that is taller than a regular 5 gallon. Some pool chemicals come in larger than 5 gallon pails I also have two of them.

I put the bags in those orange home depot buckets. It works great. They seem tall, but once they're filled they work well in a 5 gallon bucket.

How do you get every last bit of air out of them without "burping" hot syrup all over the place?
