Our third year making NJ maple syrup . 10 gallons finished product, our most yet. Try to add a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 evap for next year to not deal with smoke in the eyes. Hope everyone has a great syrup season

We have been tapping in New Jersey for 8 years. We started out with a couple of taps and boiled on the stove. The first year we made 1 gallon. Then we got a small evaporator and since then we have gone from 15 taps to about 80. We just closed up operations yesterday and our total was 18 gallons. glad to know there are other nj tappers
