Next year we are going to be setting up a gravitiy feed line system! I took a rough look as to how many tap's we can get out of this wood's! We can get from 600 to 800 tap's! My question is! Would it be smart to run our main line as 1" all the way up in and then split off with three 3/4 " lines? I guess what i am really looking for is how many tap's can a 1 " line handle? Any help would be appreciated! Thank's Dan.

my 2011 leader catalog says 1" is good for 500 taps, and 3/4 is good for 250. 1 1/4" is good for 1000 taps.

SO you are looking to us the 1" line as a conductor line? and your 3/4" will be the mainline then?

What i am trying to figure out is if it would make more sense to run a 1" or 1 1/4 line up in and then branch off with the 3/4" lines because we can get about 800 tap's or so and it say's 3/4" line can only handle about 250! Would it be smarter to run like 3 or 4 3/4" lines from the holding tank up in instead of the 1" or 1 1/4! I am trying to figure out which way is the easiest and most cost effect! It seem's to me if i was to go with the 3/4 " line from the tank up in it would be easier to tap as opposed to the bigger line. But then again i would need 3 or 4 line's to be able to get all of the tap's!

Seems to me that one 1 1/4" line would be the way to go since that way you dont have the cost of 3 or 4 3/4" lines and wires to run. but if money is not any problems and time you could go the other route. its up to you what you do but the 1 1/4" will handle the taps you are speaking about.
