I have 2 triple diaphragm vacuum pumps Ive bought over the years. I recently got ahold of an sp22 and a releaser. 2 of my mains come in high enough to hook to the releaser. One main comes in at ground level. I was debating between putting a diaphragm pump on the main at ground level, then having the diaphramp pump empty into the releaser, or building a sap ladder to raise the sap up to the releaser.

If the diaphragm pump is only making 17", and the Sp22 is making 22" what will happen? Will the sp22 damage the diphragms or will it help increase the diaphragm vacuum?

Just put in a sap ladder, you'll only have to have one pump running.
