sugar content

When i'm tapping around my house it seems like everyone likes to have some input on what i should be doing.

I'm told the lower i tap the higher sugar content of sap i will get. Not really sure if thats true.

Anybody have any info on that?

Yeah thats the rumor but be sure to tell them if I put the taps all in low where am I going to tap the trees in a few years when the lower section of the tree looks like it was shot a hundred times with buckshot. You need to vary your tap height from low to higher throught the years or you will run out of plaes to put taps. I have to think however the difference in sugar content between a foot or 2 is minimal if noticable at all.
