Okay to reduce the flue?

I think I know the answer...

My evaporator has a 6" flue. I have lots of 4" stovepipe laying around. Should I reduce the stovepipe to 4" or keep it at 6"?

My guess is I'll have better draw and a hotter fire with the 6".

Keep the 6 inch, These have to have good draft to get the sap jumping!
