I picked the wrong day to tap. Not because it was mid 40s out and sap was running, but yesterday my brother, friend Jeff and I went on a 8+ mile hike. We did Mt Liberty with 4+ feet of snow. We hit the parking lot at 7:00pm (last hour and a half in the dark).Today waded for 6 hours in knee deep snow (3hours with my 2 year old daughter in the backpack). Got 150+/- taped still 100+/- to go. Things looked good as far as sap but boy do I feel like I am earning every drop. Tonight have a beer or two and RELAX. Hit it tomorrow in the rain then look for leaks.
