How many years experience do maple traders have together? I have 16 years making syrup. If we added it all up over 500 years?

well it will be 6 years on my own, but if you count helping you can add newborn to 16 years.. :D Yes my parents had me out at the shack when i was only 8 months old... hell why not.

My family's been making maple syrup for as long as we can remember - likely 75 years or more. I know my great-grandfather was making syrup before my grandfather went away to WWII and then my grandfather took over and expanded when he came back. We've been using tubing for over 25 years.

We've been at it for 20 years selling.

I've been making syrup since 2001, the first year on a gas grille, with an evaporator since.

Just found a Sugar Camp photo from 1911. Shows a sugarhouse and some buckets on the trees. So I can definitely confirm 5 generations - probably goes back farther. I am still digging for more photos. I am willing to bet - my family goes back before the 1900 mark. I would like to find photos of the evaporator...

We are in our fifth season as a sugarhouse. I did some as a kid and in college, but not like we're doing now.
