Three Saps If they are the O rings you can get any size and diameter. Find a good O ring /seal supplier and they can make them right there at the counter. They have rolls of the stuff and cut to fit and glue the ends. Yup works great.

Three saps, if you can't find somebody that has an oring kit, go onto McMastercarr.com and purchase an o-ring kit. They are not that expensive and like Haynes said "make your own". Real simple to do.

theres a thick rubber washer at th hinge point where the float lets in air when it releases, this is the part that is all dry rot and cracked, im only losing 1/2" of vacuum but the whistling noise can be heard from 200' away and its driving me nuts....
the washer is approx 1.5" outside diameter and 9/16" or maybe 5/8" diameter on the inside and is about 1/4" - 5/16" thick ..... i believe the inside diameter and the thickness are critical... any ideas?

Look in the plumbing section with the toilet flappers as well. Most come with a rubber gasket similar to the size you described. You would have to buy the whole flapper for like 2 bucks. Also rubber cement would hold it in place. Atleast it worked for me on my releaser. And just to clarify its on the outside with no sap contact so lets not jump on the food safe wagon.

Some Auto Supply stores carry sheets of rubber "matting" for making gaskets. Comes like 1 foot by 1 foot square or so and about 1/8 thick, if I remember right....

first off thats no O-ring gasket... can u get a pic of it and lay a ruler on it and tell us for sure what size it is??
to me it sounds like a gasket made from sheet gasket.we call it red rubber.i bet it,s a 1/8 inch thick.
