I was just curious which stainless my pans are made of. The flue pan is a 1998 soldered Grimm Lightning raised flue. The front pan is a 1998 Leader welded. I'm guessing the Leader is bright annealed 304 since it's a mirror finish. Not sure on the flue pan though, it's a dull finish, probably so the solder sticks. Maybe someone knows for sure on this one?

'98 Grimm would be 304 stainless. I guess there' s the remote chance that it's 430 (highly doubtful), but see if a magnet sticks to it. If so, it's 430. If not, it's 304. But I'm 99.99999% sure it's 304 (and most certainly lead free - they switched in '91/'92).

316 or 304 most likely 304 if it is a factory pan a magnet im pretty shore should not stick to it at all if it is one of these 2

Grimm never used 314. I don't think any major label used it.
